Beginning of time

An interesting thought came into my head this week;

That God started time from the moment Jesus died on the cross.

The thought occurred to me as I was thinking about the verse in Revelation 13:8 that says,

Jesus, the Lamb was "slain from the foundation of the world."

That means, either Jesus was slain before time began, or time began when he was slain.

If God is outside of time, there's no reason he should begin time on the left and roll it on to the right like one of our timelines.

He could have created it all at once.

Building time around the most pivotal moment in human history.

Jesus's death and resurrection.

In Isaiah 46:9-10 it says

I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things that are not yet done

So, God declared the end from the beginning.

It may well be that when Jesus cried out "it is finished", time began.

It's certainly the moment that hope began.
